Text Box: Our WhipperSnappers, Mini-aces and Aces use the Quickstart USTA tennis teaching methods and court setup. Each group will have their own modified sized tennis court that matches the skills and abilities of young children. Coupled with our instruction and tennis drills, students instantly start playing tennis. The tennis drills allow for instant tennis success. Tennis can be a difficult sport to learn, but with our specially designed tennis activities, students are playing the game of tennis quicker than ever! Experienced kids, who have already been playing on full-size courts, with regular green balls, and who wish to continue doing so, will have that option.

The Tennis Farm Camp Description

  • A positive, fun-filled environment to introduce your child to tennis.
  •  Our excellent staff of certified Pros and trained Junior Counselors, teach real tennis through games and exercises that develop and improve hand-eye coordination, timing, agility and movement, stamina and reflexes, all while focusing on fun!
  • Other activities, such as soccer, tag, arts and crafts projects and snack times are incorporated into the program to keep children engaged with coaches.
  •  Student to Teacher Ratio: Maximum of 5 Students: 1 Instructor ratio. However, generally there are only 3-4 students per Instructor.

Age Groups:

  • 3-5 years old:  Whippersnappers: Instructors blend tennis coordination exercises with stroke development while focusing on hand-eye coordination activities. Activities are imaginative and fun, so that learning tennis is enjoyable to even the youngest tennis players!
  • 5-7yr olds:  Mini-Aces: Instruction for this age level involves drills, games, exercises and hand-eye coordination activities that build tennis skills.  Instructors lead fun, tennis-based activities that teach core tennis concepts. Children then move on to hitting drills covering: tennis volleys, overheads, serving, and forehands
  • 7-10yr olds: Aces: Students learn the technical fundamentals of the forehand, backhand, serve, overhead, and volley. In each class they participate in high-energy tennis drills, hit balls and partake in fun games.  Students will improve their understanding of tennis and muscle memory.  In addition, students learn the rules of the game and how to play a full singles and doubles match. Depending on skill level, students may also be introduced to spin shots and other technically advanced skills.
  • 10-14yr olds: Top Guns: The goal is to learn and improve their tennis strokes: forehands, backhands, serves, volleys, and more. Students learn how to play a full doubles and singles tennis match. In addition, players work on adding power and topspin to ground strokes, while also improving their reflexes and speed with their footwork and strokes.
